ETHERFAX will perform planned maintenance on our database cluster to apply required updates. These updates keep the platform current with vendor security, stability, and reliability patches.
What is happening
AWS under our direction will apply the pending OS updates to the cluster. On our Multi-AZ deployment, we will update the standby first, then fail over to the patched standby (brief primary promotion), then patch the former primary. Expected customer impact is limited to the duration of that failover, not a long outage.
Expected impact
Brief interruption or retry of API, portal, and fax-related database operations during failover In-flight jobs may retry automatically; most customers will see only a short pause (1-2 minutes expected) Telephony and inbound answering continue with no impact; some backend lookups/writes may lag during the window.
Recommended customer actions
No action is required on your side Allow applications and integrations to retry failed requests If you maintain local queues or custom listeners, confirm they handle short connection drops Monitor status.etherfax.net during the window
Support
If you experience issues after the window that do not clear with a retry, contact ETHERFAX Support with your account ID and approximate time of the event.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your continued partnership.
